What is a Street Team? Various performers and bands are currently reaching out to their fans and asking them to show their support by getting involved with their promotion through Street Teams. Being a part of a Street Team not only gets you working to support your favourite artist, it can also end up being a lot of fun! Many of you are already doing this without even knowing it. Do you request Kalan's music wherever and whenever you can? Do you vote for his videos? Do you talk about Kalan on other online forums, social networks or blogs? These are just some of the things that we'll be asking you to do to help us promote Kalan and we'll try our best to make it worth your while! Back to Top Can anyone sign up? Anyone 13 years of age or older can be a Street Team member. As long as you are a devoted fan who wants to see Kalan rise to the top and you are willing to hit the streets and/or the internet to help us out, we welcome you! Back to Top How do I join? All you have to do to be a Street Team member is enter your email address to join our E-Team where indicated and complete the profile page that appears. You will then receive a confirmation email from us with a link to a questionnaire. Please complete and return the questionnaire immediately. If we do not receive your completed questionnaire, your membership will be deactivated. Back to Top I am already a Site Member, how is that different from being an E-Team member? Being a Site Member allows you to set up a profile and upload a photo to appear with any posts made by you on the Guest Book and Blog Pages, etc. in the all access areas of this website. You must be an E-Team member to have access to Porter House and the exclusive content found on the members only pages. Back to Top What will I have to do once I'm a member? There will be numerous Street Team initiatives over time. This could involve distributing promotional materials (posters, stickers, decals, etc.) at schools, records stores, books stores, internet cafes, coffee shops ... anywhere they are willing to let you post them! You will also be able to download various promotional materials such as banners, buddy icons, avatars, etc. to use on your personal e-mails, message boards, chats, forums, social networks, etc. And, of course, we will need you to request radio and tv airplay and, of course, vote, vote, vote wherever and whenever possible!!!!! It is totally up to you how much you want to do. But remember ... the more you do, the more you help get Kalan's music out there!! Back to Top What's in it for me? Lots of perks come with being a Street Team member. You might win an autographed photo or CD ... or, who knows, maybe even backstage passes. There will be a lot of surprises along the way! It is important to keep us informed of all of your activities so Kalan is aware of everything that you are doing for him. Back to Top Do I have to send feedback? YES! We'd love to hear what you're doing! Send us new promotion ideas, pictures of you and other fans working hard - even your experiences with the music. We'll post them on the site for other team members to enjoy! Send pictures and info to photos@kalanporterstreetteam.com. Please note, by submitting your photos you are giving us permission to put them up on our site. If you wish to get credit for your photos, please submit them with your name appearing on them. Back to Top Are there any restrictions on what I can do with the materials sent to me? Some stores and/or venues may have rules against handing out materials on their property. It might also be against the law in certain areas to affix stickers/posters to public property such as telephone poles. Always make sure you have the proper permission before putting up any of our promotional items. If you do run into any problems or know of areas with these restrictions, please let us know and we will post it online for the benefit of other Street Team members. When using online forums, message boards, social networks or email, remember that you are there to promote - do not SPAM! Back to Top Can we join as a group? You can work together as a group - we just need you to register individually so we can keep track of all of our members. But remember, any prizes will be rewarded on an individual basis! Send us your artwork, avatars, siggies - anything like that - to artwork@kalanporterstreetteam.com and, if its okay with you we might just use your creations as part of our promotions. Send us your promotion ideas too! If you find local newspaper articles, magazine articles, polls, anything Kalan-related, send it to us and we can share it with all of our members - and with any visitors to our site too.
